Hosted by the Alta Environmental Center, this event brings together sustainable and local organizations from the Salt Lake area to explore the impact of climate change on recreation in Little Cottonwood Canyon and discover ways to protect the land that connects us all. Join us for our annual Easter Bone Hunt – a fun-filled event for your furry friend! This event is Pre-Registration Only. Location: North Lawn, Wheeler Historic Farm Cost: $20 per dog + handler; $8 per additional human. What’s Happening: Pups will search for Easter eggs filled with delicious dog treats. The hunt area is divided into three sections: small, medium, and large breed zones. After finding eggs, dogs can redeem them for a goody bag full of treats and prizes! All participants will enjoy a special visit with the Easter Bunny – don’t forget your camera to capture the memories! Participants can choose to find eggs on the lawn or hunt in the woods. On April 19, 1775, 77 Minutemen mustered on the Lexington Village Green to stand against 700 British Soldiers. The shot heard around the world began the American Revolution. The Program includes Speaker/Author: Judge Ted Stewart, Hope of America Children’s Choir, Displays including Authentic Historical Documents from the Revolutionary War. The Utah National Guard Artillery, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars giving a 21-gun Salute. Flintlock and Musket Salutes from the Sons of the American Revolution, the Mormon Battalion, and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. The Utah Wing Civil Air Patrol, US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, and JROTC Units, The Utah Pipe Band, Why I Love America, Roots of Freedom, Freedom’s Light, and Daughters of the American Revolution, to honor the Patriots of Lexington and Concord. We will celebrate the Governor’s signature on the Resolution, declaring Utah as the 7th State in the Union, to recognize April 19th as Patriots’ Day! 4/18 10-11:30am 350 N.
