Healing in the Fields- Sandy City Promenade Park- Sept 11th-15th
The Utah Healing Field(R) in Sandy City is a solemn and inspiring event held annually to honor and remember the victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Started in 2002, this moving tribute was the first Healing Field(R) in the nation located at the Sandy City Promenade Park, transforming the park into a field of more than 3,000 American flags, each representing a life lost in the tragic events of that day. Visitors can walk through the meticulously arranged flags, each accompanied by a name and brief biography, creating a powerful reminder of the human cost of the attacks and the resilience of the American spirit. The event fosters unity and reflection, drawing families, community members, and visitors to pay their respects.

Get to the River Festival- Jordan River OHV Park- Sept 11th-30th
The Get to the River Festival is a month of events and activities each September at various locations across the 50-mile Jordan River Parkway. It includes diverse outdoor recreation, conservation, arts and cultural, and social experiences that spark discovery, stewardship, creativity, and fun. The Festival is organized and promoted by the Jordan River Commission and Jordan River Foundation. Events and activities are organized and hosted by dozens of local partners and communities across the Wasatch Front region. Thousands of individuals and families turn out each year to participate. The Festival highlights this amazing slice of nature through the most urbanized and populated region of Utah’s Wasatch Front. It connects people with some of the things that matter most - family and friends, nature and wildlife, community and culture - and creates wonderful memories.

2025 Tower of Terror Film Series- Broadway Centre Cinema- Sept 12th-Nov 1st
Scream season is back! Salt Lake Film Society invites horror fans, cult cinema lovers, and midnight movie enthusiasts to its annual Tower of Terror Film Series, a curated celebration of genre-defining classics and fan-favorite frights. From suspenseful slow burns to chaotic creature features, SLFS transforms weekends into cinematic scream-fests all fall long. The 2025 Tower of Terror Film Series launches Friday, September 12, with Tremors and Green Room, setting the stage for a season of frights that includes Rosemary’s Baby, The Thing, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and more. The series culminates in the annual The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween event with live performers, October 30–November 1.

Festa Italia- The Gateway- Sept 13th-14th
Admission is free. Salt Lake City’s famous Italian Festival, Festa Italiana SLC, returns for its 10th year at The Gateway! Come enjoy live Italian entertainment and the culinary diversity of Italy. Festival will be held at The Gateway along the street from 100 S to the Fountain and Piazza at North end. During the two day festival, highlights include live Italian entertainment, food booths highlighting the regions of Italian cuisine, La Cucina Galbani Cooking Stage, Italian beer and wine garden, arts & crafts, historical displays, exotic Italian cars and much more. Proceeds from the festival will support local and national non-profit charitable organizations supported by the Italian-American Civic League of Utah.

3D Printing & Laser Cutting: Beginning & Intermediate- Visual Art Institute- Sept 15th-Dec 12th
Learn to design and create projects using tech, 3D printers, and laser cutters! In this 12-week course for teens and adults, students will gain hands-on experience with a range of modern fabrication tools and techniques. Participants will learn to operate both filament and resin 3D printers, use design applications such as NOMAD, and explore the creative possibilities of laser and vinyl cutting. Through guided projects, students will develop skills in digital design, prototyping, and production, preparing them to confidently create both artistic and functional pieces.

FanX® Salt Lake Comic Convention is Dan Farr Productions’ annual event. It’s the most attended convention in the state of Utah and the largest comic convention in North America per capita. Witch Run Half Marathon, 10K,5K- Gardner Village- Sept 27th
The Witch Run is one of our favorite theme races held at Gardner Village. We have made it not only a 5K but also a Half Marathon and 10K. We will start two hours prior. This will give racers a brighter start in the daylight and a fun finish still at Gardner Village. Gardner Village is home to the best Halloween displays in Utah. We give racers a Witch Hat, Medal and a great festive Halloween experience.
